Love it! :D

Hey man, this piece is really nice, sounds like you experimented a lot on this, the drums make it sound like it isn't a House track at times weirdly enough, I just think it's how the track meshes together though. Love all the synths put into here, the sidechaining, the nicely sounding mixdown. (I sidechain basically everything, so I love to hear other artists sidechaining too. xD) But yeah man, I really love this track, you seem to have put a lot of work into it, if I were to give it any criticism at all, all I can think of is maybe turning the delay on the background bells a little, but that's really all I can think of at the moment. D:

It's not like me, since I usually tear a song apart and find about a million things someone should change, but you have left me kind of stumped. I noticed the song kind of reminded me of reminded me of Netsky, which is odd since he's a whole different genre, but I think it's the melody reminded me of the one he uses a lot haha :). Great job mate, congrats with the fiance thing, hope it goes well for you two and my best wishes are with you! :D

Maybe check out my music when you get the time too? :D

durn responds:

Haha, yeah, I do love side-chaining. It basically opened up a whole world of production for me. First song I ever tried sidechaining on was Summer Solace and it received huge accolades so the process will always hold a warm spot in my heart (hence the name of one of my other tracks :D).

Agreed, the delay on the bell lead that comes in halfway through the song is a bit much, though I think it's the sharpness of the synth itself that makes the delay not as enjoyable. Could probably have eq'd it a little better.

Aye, a few people've said my melodies would be hot in a DnB tune, I just can't seem to get those crisp-ass sounding drums though, hopefully propellerhead will release a sweet DnB refill at some point.

Thanks for the congratulations on the engagement! :D It's great news, she's a wonderful woman.

I will (and did) check out your stuff! :D

Great Job!

I love the sidechained melody and the higher synth over the top, reminds me of Boys Noize haha. I love sidechaining stuff, I sidechain a lot of stuff in my music. :P But anyway, I did spot one pretty major flaw in this song, I'm not picking at you or anything, just trying to help you out (I shouldn't need to explain I'm trying to help really, but so many people on here these days can't take criticism) But once things kicked in, I could no longer hear your drums, I think a good mixdown should fix it though, sidechain any lowends that may be cancelling out the kick, give the kick a good EQ and for the rest of the drum samples, EQ those too, EQ all of your drums, trust me, it takes time and it's a pain in the arse but the end result is worth it!

If you need any help with it just chuck me a PM or whatever. :)

Maybe check out my music sometime soon aswell? :D

battleshield responds:

Oh well, my speakers are specially pitched to my liking, so yeah it's possible that it sounds weaker on normal speakers. My bad.

Tnx for your review and ofcourse I'll check out your music too :)

Sounds good man.

The track sounds really good, the only problem I found was mainly the fact it had nothing to keep me locked in. The builds and the drops, didn't really sound like builds or drops, the trouble is you overused the drums, which didnt emphasize the builds, the second build you sure as heck nailed it, I'm not saying you should've repeated the second build, but here is a thought or something for you to try: Remove the drums from the first build, let the synth build up like it was with the cutoff, when it drops, remove the synth, just have the beat and the bass. This way when the second drop comes round and the synth is reintroduced, people aren't bored of hearing the synth through the whole track. Also you cvould really use some sidechained white noise/sweeps. :)

Other than that though, the production sounds good and I really believe you put a lot of work into this, but we need criticism to progress, right?

Make sure to check out my tracks sometime man, I don't use NG much anymore, but I will be posting previews. :D

DJDela responds:

Well, you have great suggestions there, but unfortunately, I have one problem.
I deleted some synths that belonged to the song, and I don't have them anymore, so I can't export the song again.
But, thank you for your review... :)

I'm not good of a "reviewer", but I will definitely check your stuff.

Dat melody...

Hey man, thanks for the review on my previews, it was appreciated a lot, so here I am returning the favour.

First thing that of course hit me is the melody, which personally I think is made of epic entirely. Not heard a style like this much, very unique and it seems to me you've done really well to produce something of this quality. Everything from the crazy glitched out drums, to the neat soothing pad in the background.

The structure is real nice and I honestly believe you've put some thought into this, nice one mate.

Downloading it, 5'd it and I also salute you good sir.

Last but not least, thanks for dropping me a review! :)

ambinate responds:

thanks a ton, man! i really appreciate you giving it an honest listen and letting me know what you think. checking out more of your stuff now and really digging it.

Pretty chill.

Been a while mate, wonder if you miss chatting to me as much as I miss chatting to you? :P Should get on MSN more, since I don't have a laptop I can only chat through MSN on my xbox, no more Skype or anything :(

I remember your keyboard skills lolol, they are the tits man, soon as I get the new laptop (probably about a month from now, it's almost my 18th birthday :D) we should get doing some NG collabs, even though I'm retired from NG xD, I been keeping an eye on your page often for new stuff. :P

Keep doing what you're doing man! :)

5 & 10, yeah boy!

Pretty good.

Seemed a tiny bit plain, but was still good, the percussion seemed to be a bit too much like Faxing Berlin, XD. I just wish it had a little more oomph to it, like, after the build it just seemed to release instantly, almost like there was no climax. I think that is mainly what you should work on. :)

Mans0n responds:

Song doesn't have a climax. It just has a breakdown-then buildup which I would also call the climax.

And yeah Mau5 gave me some inspiration for the track. Though the only thing similar is the cowbell used.

I was beginning to think you were dead

Good track, well done, get on Skype. Lol

Father-of-Death responds:

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

That's it. :)

That's exactly what I meant in the last review. :)

Check out my music and review my latest song please. ;D

but this track really sucks. please check out my newest prodz! ;)

Nice work.

I quite enjoyed this, very progressive, the choice of synth were odd, but worked so well and in harmony with the style of music, it's like a mixture of house and ambient; simply epic.

I love the piano in this, so calming and the chords used are awesome, percussion was set out very well and was none less than perfect. I love how that bass just slowly adds on notes and gradually sneaks into the full track, very smooth. :)

Anyway, overall, the song is great.

}{B34T1N}{ - I noticed that you reviewed some of my old work from '07, haha, go look at my stuff now and gimme a review back please, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. :)

Nav responds:

Thanks! :)

Fairly good.

I quite like this, I think when you go about producing the full version that one thing which is missing from this would be a lead synth, usually when I hear hardstyle they tend to use a saw synth, but in all honesty, try to be a bit different, if that doesn't work, then follow the trend; originality is good though. :)

Another thing was, you used the snare every 1/4 measure with the kick, try only using it on every 2 kicks because it kinda made it sound like you was building up a snare roll the whole time. :P

}{B34T1N}{ - Not really much else to say, hope I helped though, check out my music sometime and review me back please! :)
